Cancer still sucks

Posted by on July 22, 2014

As if you all didn’t love my dad enough already (despite his silence on the blog these days) he sent me this picture the other day:

My dad is the man standing next to the guy in the black shirt. Everyone in this picture usually has more hair. The men all shaved their heads in solidarity with Patti, the woman in the middle. She is a chemo warrior. I know breast cancer has touched a lot of my readers, Internet, so I wanted to give Patti a shout out as she fights her battle. Please spare a happy, encouraging thought for her as you go about your day.

Go Patti! Kick cancer’s ass!

  1. Dad

Thanks kid. For the record, cutting one’s hair has never cured cancer but if it helps cheer up someone going through a tough time then I’m glad to do it. Yes, cancer sucks. At work we deal with it every day. Remember life is short so eat your dessert first! FYI, Patti finished her second round of chemo last Thursday and was back at work today taking care of veterans. It’s what we do.
